11:00 am – 5:00 pm: Songwriters’ Retreats – Established locations throughout the community (such as The Bell Tower, Lake End Park, and on Scott Green Properties) are made available to visiting songwriters who sign up to use the area for inspiration and songwriting

UPDATE: 

Billy Joe Shaver will not be performing at Road To 3rd Street Songwriter Festival on Friday, April 7, 2017,due to illness. He remains our Hero and Friend and we wish him a speedy recovery.
Our other Featured Writers will remain on the bill, including Outlaw Country Legend Billy Don Burns, Texas Songwriter Extraordinaire Mike Stinson, and our Baton Rouge Hit Songwriters: Barry Hebert, Steve Judice, and Martin Flanagan.  In addition, we will have a Special Spotlight show from The Last Honky Tonk Music Series. Afterward, the doors will open free to the public for incredible blues music by the Josh Garrett Band.
We will be refunding initial ticket sales for Friday, April 7, as they included Billy Joe Shaver as our Headliner, and new ticket prices will be $25.00, available at the door.
It will be an incredible evening of outstanding performances. We hope you’ll join us.
